How to Jump Motocross Bike
I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. The proper thing when you are just learning to jump with an even throttle and just power off the end of the jump. You will feel the bike lift up, just let it soak up the impact in your legs and then you can correct whether you need to lean forward or back. You will get the feel the more you practice of how to position your bike. When you land, you want to land on the gas still in the standing position so you can soak up the impact with your legs. Like such, land and be on the throttle. You want the throttle line because that is already going to preload the suspension. It is going to be powering your rear wheel. You are going to land and it is going to preload the suspension and soak up some of that impact. You are going to go forward instead of landing and bottoming. The more you jump you will get the feel of where to be and whether you need to lean more back or forward. It is a hard way to explain and you really need to do but as long as you maintain a proper neutral position on your bike and you feel comfortable then you should be able to start working on your jumps.
