Women's Self-Defense: Triangle Block

Hello, I am Sifu Mallon with Clearwater Kung Fu Center. This is my assistant Melissa. And this is Women's Self-Defense. Okay, the one we're working right now this we're working a block. This block is called Triangle Block. This is effectively throwing a triangle wedge in between the opponent’s arms. So it's like if an attacker comes forward don't worry about the block just yet, if the attacker is coming forward and grabbing you this way. Either going for the neck right, or doing this classic move the shoulder grabs. So, from here I step forward and I do both hands to Melissa's shoulders. Okay I can already make contact already, now Melissa is going to bring both hands up in between the arms, she's going to shove them up on and angle and outward. Ok again! Now you want to make contact using the outside of your forearm. So you don't want to have the hands touching you want to have a little bit of space in between them, that's it! Again, as I reach out and wedge them, again, good, one more. Now this can be used double right, and she can also use just a single arm. Okay using the triangle shape. The triangle shape is effective right, because even I process much more upper body strength then she does. Okay, just put your arms up here this on this angle. So the force of her lifting on this angle so move this way, so the force of her lifting on this angle as my hand are pushing here my forces is applying this way. And what she is going is providing a slight grade pushing my hands out a little wider each second as she pushes up. Okay dispersing my force out and down. So this is very effective block for Women's Self-Defense.
