i couldnt say better than tennistom. his right ur doing it all wrong!!! please if u dont know how to play dont put these vids on the web it can fool someone who doesnt know how to play!! Tennis is a lot more complicated than what it seems!!

How to Serve a Tennis Ball
Hi, I am Maria Clark and I am going to tell you the very basic of playing tennis. Right now what I am going to do is serve the ball. Then I looked at my opponent and I look over the net and was timing it trying to see where my ball is going to go. So, here you go. I am just going to go ahead and toss it and smack it. So here we go again. As I mentioned earlier, if you are serving the ball from that direction in the right hand side of the opposite court, so you need to make sure that you are looking over the net and make sure the ball is going to land on this side of the court.
