Features of a Table Saw
Hi! I’m Rob McMahon for Expert Village. I’m here to talk about the table saw. Here we have 2 examples of table saws that would be appropriate for a workshop or a job site. This one over here, the smaller one, is more of a job site type of table saw. One that can be knocked about. I’ve had it for about 15 years. It’s a good saw for rough things, but as you can see, it’s little hard to adjust the fence and the height of the blade can get kind of tiring with this knob. The whole point of a table saw is the fence. Over here, this one slides much easier. As you can see, it’ll adjust to anywhere from the distance of the blade and come up nice and tight. This particular model has a scale so you can see your distance gaged in inches. This guard here comes with all table saws. It’s a safety feature that’s required by OSHA. It’s equipped with a anti-kickback device and the shield of course for keeping your hands clear of the blade. Pretty much it’s in the way of most things that you have to do. One of the reasons why I chose this model is because it’s easy to remove.
