How to Calibrate for a Square Using a Table Saw
Hi! I’m Rob McMahon for Expert Village. One important thing for your table saw is to be sure that your blade is square. The best way to do that is to take a square, here’s a speed square. You can also use a combination square. I’m going to use the speed square because it’s got a longer flat surface and it’ll sit better on the table. The higher you have the blade, the better sense you’re going to have about how square it is to the table. When you put your square up against it, you want to be sure that you’re on the blade and not on the carbine tooth. This one’s set perfectly. We need a minor adjustment here so that when we go into the tilting, we’ll be able to go by the graduations and have our angles perfect. So we just reset this and we’ll be good to go.
