Embossing Clean-Up

Hi! My name is Elizabeth and on behalf of Expert Village. We’re finishing up our series on tips and techniques for embossing in your card making. As we wrap the series up, I want to talk to you a little bit about clean up when using embossing powders. The easiest and most effective thing is if you have a craft tray. That way you can sprinkle the embossing powder right into the tray that has kind of tunnel at the end, that you can put into your jar and then just tap the powder back in. If that doesn’t work, what you may have noticed me using today, was just a sheet of note paper or any scrap paper you have. A thinner sheet works better than cardstock, because you can roll it, make a funnel of it on your own, and then tap the powder into the jar. It’s very easy clean up. Some other tools that we talked about that you may want to have are a paint brush handy. Just a very thin one, so you can get around the edges of the creations that you’re doing.
