Making a Rum Daiquiri

The next drink we are going to make is a traditional Daiquiri. Now you can make this in all different types of frozen varieties as well, however today we are going to make the traditional Lime Daiquiri. You'll want to start with a shaker, you can also use any kind of metal container or glass you may have on hand at home. I'm going to go ahead and ice this down. And I will be using two ounces of light rum today, light rum of your choice. Again you can use the shot glass in lieu of a jigger, so you pour two ounces or so. And then you're also going to combine this with one ounce of fresh or bottled lime juice. So two parts rum, one part lime juice, over ice. You'll also need one teaspoon of sugar which I have here in two packets, sweeten it up a bit, take the tart taste away. I'm going to stir that up nice and good and garnish with a slice of lime. Traditional Daiquiri.
