Some of the common mistakes you'll experience while learning how to half cab front side 180; front side being the blind direction, would be pretty easy to fix. One of the problem is going to be compensating for the set up and when you set up you feet, what I mean by that, is when you set up your feet, you're going to notice that there going to slide into a certain position so that when you land, there not in the same position as when your started. What you're going to have to do is set up your feet like this and get ready for the fact that, once you've done the half cab 180 that there going to slide just slightly. So you're going to want to set up your feet to compensate for the movement that there going to do in the air; that's how you correct that. So you'll notice that if you set up like this, when you end up doing the half cab 180, you'll land more like this because your feet will travel slightly. Your back foot can pretty much stay in the normal half cab ollie position and it's not going to change too much, but you may want to test different foot placement to find out what works best for you. The other problem is going to be the fact that, you can't see which way you're going and sometimes it's hard for you to get the feeling. So the best advice I have for you is just practice, practice, practice. The more the better. So, what you're going to want to do to correct any kind of problem when you are trying a trick, is just swing your arms and get ready for the motion that's coming. The more ready you are with your body the better. If you start to notice that you over rotate, just throw a little less shoulder in there. If you notice that you land 90, which is half way up the 180, just put a little more swing into it and you'll find that, that'll work good.
