How to Plant with Compost
So now I’m going to prepare a hole to transplant a daylily. And to do that I dig the hole, and as you can see, my soil’s already in pretty good shape here. But if this was a new hole, it would be very hard to dig. And then I want to add to this compost. And I want to put a little lower below where the plant will go. So I mix the compost in with this soil to put it back into the hole. And now it’s ready to plant. And that daylily’s going to love this.
