Power Drill Screwdriver Maintenance

Hi! This is Jon on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip I’ll be talking about maintenance. The first thing you want to do when maintaining your screwdriver is to run the motor and blow out the motor with compressed air; this will get any type of woodchips out or that motor housing. When you do this, you want to make sure that you’re wearing safety glasses. You also want to make sure all the plastic parts are cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Even though these parts are highly solvent resistant, you never want to use solvents. On the charger, you want to make sure to take compressed air and clean out where the battery will slide in; you want to make sure that you do not use any type of water or cleaning solutions. And if you do have to repair one of these, it’s primarily recommended that you take into a service center or the manufacturer.
