How to Use the Torque Adjustment Collar: Part 2

Hi! This is Jon on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip I’ll be talking about the torque adjustment collar. I went ahead and set my clutch to the highest number possible; now this will mean that it’ll drive the screw in as far as it can go. You’ll notice that if I continue to drill it will strip the screw out. Now I’m going to go ahead and set the clutch to the lowest number possible. When I screw this in, it will stop and you’ll hear a loud clicking noise right before it sinks it into the surface of the wood. Now the main purpose for this is so that it helps the screw from striping out the hole.
