Hi! My name is Sarah, I’m at Petland in Pembroke Pines, Florida tonight and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I’m going to speak with you a little bit about caring for mice. When you are looking for a mouse there are several things you want to watch out for. If you go to a pet store, you want to make sure that the enclosure for the mice looks clean and well maintained. You want to make sure that there is not any excess of accumulation of species of old food in the cage. You want to make sure that overall the food looks fairly clean. You want to make sure that all the mice look active and healthy and are going about their normal business. You want to make sure that you don’t see any mice that are in the cage that have their eyes closed or look they have any discharge from the nose or anywhere from their rear end. You want to make sure that all the mice look bright and alert. You also want to make sure that it doesn’t look like the mice are overcrowded. It is very important in a pet store situation that there are not too many mice in a cage, as they can get stressed out and start attacking one another. If you go to a pet store to look for a mouse and you think that the mice are housed in unhealthy conditions, perhaps you should go to another pet store and find some mice that are more appropriately housed.
