What does it take to teach dogs agility activities? Later in the video, I will be showing a number of different obstacles. First and foremost, you will need the basic agility obstacles, which can be purchased on the Internet or, normally, at your local pet distributer or pet store. In conjunction to all the actual obstacles that you'll need, either placed in your backyard or in a local park, another big ingredient is going to be discipline and time. Dogs primarily learn through routine and repetition, so the more you practice the same obstacles, the quicker your dog will understand the various agility commands. Whether it's a table top stay, an over, an under or a tunnel activity, the more you practice with your dog, the more they will retain what the challenge is. Then I always tell customers on the walks, when you take your dog out, once or twice a day, find a creative course on your walk where you can actually utilize some of these exercises during the day, everyday.
