Dog Agility Training History

History of dog agility can be traced back to the early nineteen seventy's, starting within the West part of the United States. Dogs began competing with such basic obstacles, as the table, tunnel, over and under technique obstacles. Many of the early agility courses, were made from your basic household items, as PVC tubing, wooden planks and something as simple as a broom handle a cement blocks. Since the nineteen seventies, dog agility has evolved to more advanced material used in the courses, such as, refined fiber glass tubing, solid wooden and plastic benches and other obstacles, more friendly to dogs and their owners.
