Panel Job Interviews

Okay, the next type of interview that you might have, depending on the company that you're interviewing for, is a Panel interview and what this tends to be is where you're actually going to interview with several different people from the company and they'll actually all be sitting together. So it's not like you'll do one, and the other and then another. You'll probably go into a conference room and three or four of them will be sitting at conference table. Now don't let this overwhelm you. Usually you are dealing with, probably a person from Human Resources department if the company has a Human Resources department. You would generally have the person that is going to be your boss or supervisor will be sitting at that table and many many times a co-worker will also be sitting at that table and this gives everyone an opportunity to question you and for you to have an opportunity to question all these different people. Now what this is, I think that this is a really great way to interview, because if you have an interview with one particular person and maybe that interview doesn't go great, while if you have a interview with three or four people, if there's one person that's a little iffy about you and the other three are like, yea, Rock on, we love this guy, it improves your chances of getting the job offer. So don't let this overwhelm you, the only thing that you need to know is you want to have your questions ready to ask these different people that are sitting at the table. But that's what a panel interview is.
