Ok, there's one other type of correspondence that you might want to do, after your interview and after you've sent the Thank You note. You might want to do a little inquiry letter about the position. It's a good thing to do. One, because it brings your name up again, it puts you in front of the interviewer again, "Oh yeah I remember that guy. I really liked him". But it also can give them a little bit of a nudge about letting you know whether you get the job or not. This traditionally takes place over the phone, but, depending on the company and the environment, it could take place via E-mail, or a typewritten letter. If you're doing a letter, limit to one page, if you're doing a phone conversation, less than five minutes. Basically you just want to touch base, "Hey I just wanted to check in with you. See how things are coming. If you guys have made a decision." It will remind them that you still exist, and that you really, really will show them how much you want the job, and how eager you are to come to work for them and do a great job for their company. And now, we just wait for you to get that golden offer.
