Okay, it's time to talk about the closing phase of the interview and the closing is probably just as important on many levels as the opening. This is your last chance to make a great impression. Maybe not a first impression but a great impression. What you want to do at this point is kind of do a quick run through in your mind and evaluation of how things went. If you feel like there are any misconceptions that you have presented to the interviewer you want to correct these at this time. Maybe something you want to reiterate or change the way you said something, do it now. Conclude gracefully. It'll be pretty obvious when the interviewer, when the interview is over. The interviewer may stand up, they may say Thank you, be done. Don't just be going on and on about your fabulousness, okay. It's time to be quiet. It's time to be done, be done okay. Always, always, always, again maybe give another hand shake but a very warm sincere, heart felt, Thank you for the opportunity, Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, whatever you're thanking them for. Just thank them. If you are comfortable doing so and the opportunity may be right, it may not, you'll have to just personally sense that. Can you pin down the future, meaning when will I hear something. When will you be making a decision. Now a lot of times the interviewer will go ahead and tell you, "Well, we're going to be interviewing a few more people, we're going to make a decision in a week or two." If they don't say anything and you want that information, if it's appropriate you can take the time to pin them down to get a little bit more information and that's the closing. It's just that simple, smile, thank them, be on your way. Now we're going to evaluate your performance once you get in the car.
