Job Interview Question & Answer Phase

Ok. We are through the warm up phase, and now we're ready to move into the question and answer phase of the interview process. The question and answer phase is actually going to take up the largest portion of the interview. And what’s going to happen at this point, is the interviewer is going to ask you questions about your resume, about your qualifications, all different types of questions to secure information from you, to see if you're the right person for the job. This is also the opportunity for you to ask questions to get information to make a well informed decision, to see if you even want this job. Are you right for this job? But something else that’s really important, that I want you to think about for this question and answer phase, is listening. And during this phase, you the interviewee are going to do about half of the time, listening. And don't think the interviewer won't be aware of this. It's very important that you listen to what the interviewer is saying and respond accordingly. It is not always best for you to ramble on and on about yourself unless you have been provoked to do so. Otherwise, you need to be a good active listener. See what they say, hear what they say, process it, and then give your answers.
