One of the common mistakes for the switch boardslide is basically not being able to get out of the switch boardslide and able to roll away. What you are going to do to fix this is make sure that you're able to pick up your two front wheels and put weight on your tail to make it so that you can pop out of the boardslide. You are also going to want to slide your foot up the board almost like an ollie is to get you out of the switch boardslide. This is going to help you and also another trick that can help you is making sure that you know how the object is going to slide before you end up really trying this trick. Every ledge is different and every ledge slides at a different speed depending how much wax is on top and how fast you go and how much paint you have on your board also so the degree that your slide is going to end up working out and how fast it is is going to make the exit different every time so make sure you test it out as much as you can and remember olling out helps you get out. Another thing that people may do is on the way up they may have trouble getting into the switch boardslide because now it is a switch trick and it is a little harder to do. The best way to do this is just practice getting in at different angles and see what works best for you but the more parallel to the ledge the better and the more it will send your weight across the top of it in a forward position. You don't want to run into the ledge you want to run exactly parallel and jump on to it sideways so that you can slide across the top. Those are just some of the common problems with a switch boardslide.
