In this clip on how to audition for a Broadway play, I'm going to talk about your actor warm up. If you feel nervous or even if you don't feel nervous it's really great to get your instrument in shape and ready so that you are malleable and ready to go and you can articulate and speak loudly and you have your emotions in your mind all working as one synthesized unit. So you want to warm up your mind, you want to warm up your body, you want to warm up your brain, you want to warm up your speech. So to warm up your mind, you might do a simple meditation, close your eyes, focus on your breath. There's thousands, millions of ways to meditate. If you want to warm up your speech you can do a simple tongue twister, the tip of the tongue the teeth of the lips, the tip of the tongue the teeth of the lips you can you know sally sells seashells by the seashore. One block blood blood blue block blood by the yellow block bug bud blue. If you want to do a kind of energy body warm up, one thing that I like to do is I like to gather energy from the ground and really feel it, bring it into my body and then say HA! HA! And feel lightening feel real energy in the ground. And if you're in a bathroom you know and you can't make noise you go ha ha. Take that moment to prepare.
