Job Interview Preparation: Waiting Room

Ok, you've got this five or ten or fifteen minutes that you're waiting in the waiting room before your interview. And sometimes it might turn out to be a little bit longer if your interviewer is delayed. This is a great opportunity, if you haven't brought reading material, you might want to look around the room and see if they have any company literature that you might want to read. You also might be sitting out there with a secretary and, or a receptionist, and that's a great opportunity for you to ask some questions. Find out about the person you are going to be interviewing with, or how long the, you might, you know, you might just be making casual conversation, but it's a great way for you to get information about the company. Don't sit in the waiting room and chew gum. Anything, and everything you do, from the moment you walk through the doors, could be reported back to a potential supervisor and could effect, in a positive or a negative way, your chances of getting the job. So, from the moment you hit the door, utmost professionalism.
