Buying Scratch DJ Equipment

I'm going to talk about a few last reminders when going out to buy your equipment. Now I've said it before, but it's very important to treat this like an instrument. So when you're going out and buying it, you don't want to go to some cheap place and get the cheapest model because it's not going to last you very long, and you're going to find out very quickly that you didn't spend a lot of money on it. So when you go out and get a turntable, again, get a twelve hundred turntable. Make sure you look for a direct drive motor, because if you get a belt driven motor, it's not, not going to last very long at all. Get a battle style mixer with a reverse cross fader because that's all we're going to be doing in future series. Make sure you get two turntables. The place where you can not spend so much is on the stereo. Usually most home stereos will do. They have good response to the records. But overall, if you think of this like an instrument, you would not want to get the cheapest instrument because that won't last as long as you would like.
