Beginner DJ Scratches: The Stab-Release Combo

This combination is a combination of the last two scratches we learned, the stab scratch and the release. This is actually a very famous scratch. If you've ever heard the Herbie Hancock song, "Rock It" This scratch is featured in it. So you can sound just like Grand Mixer DST in the video. Ready, watch. You got your stab scratch, and your release. Stab, stab, release. Again though, you want to start out very, very slowly. Stab, release, stab, release. Experiment with different combinations. Remember, even though the stab is, it has a fast fader motion, you want to localize your movement at your fingers and at your wrists. Don't start tensing up your arms because then it's not going to be any fun.
