Arm Spread Card Trick
I’m Joe Marshall with expertvillage.com, and today we’re going to discuss flourishes. This next effect is known as arm spread; it has to be done quick. It’s hard to explain really slow so I’ll do my best without trying to drop the cards. It’s like the table ribbon spread when you spread the cards across the table and then flip them over and collect them, you’ll just be doing it on your arm instead of the table. It looks a lot more impressive and I’ll give it shot and try to do it slow so you can actually see what’s happening. Spread the cards out, your hand comes up and collects all the cards like so. It’s basically the same thing. Like I said, it happens on the table, it’s only going to happen in your hand. So broken down, you’re releasing the cards like so on a flat a surface as possible. The best way to do that is to make sure that at the wrist that when the cards get delivered to the hand, the wrist and arm are kind of at a perfect angle with each other so that it’s not down or raised. They’re flat as possible. You spread the cards out on the forearm and then quickly. Done slow, they’ll probably fall everywhere, so what you want to do is come back and quickly come forward so it looks like that. It’s a ribbon arm spread done on the arm. Some people can do two; I cannot. You don’t need to do two. It’s fancy enough doing it with one. Go ahead and give it a shot. It’ll really impress people they’ll really like it.
