My next idea for you to use as a vest for a starting off point is what I just call a cut out style and it may not be, I don't think that is a technical term, but that's my term to express it to you in the simplest way that I can and what that means is, what I've done here is this is where, this is a copy of my old drawings and they had the blue lines in them so sorry. This is where you would have a sleeve should you choose to be doing sleeves but we're doing vests so we don't. What makes it a cut out style vest is the fact that it cuts away from the armholes like that and here is a cutaway. There is a regular old collar but again when it is yours and you want to make it yours and you want, don't plagiarize my designs. When you want to make a cut out vest give it a collar, give it anything you want but cut out in my mind and cut out in your starting place is that it cuts in so technically it is only a cut out if something existed to be cut out so that it is kind of not a correct term but you see what is missing more than you see what's there and that's why I call it a cut out.
