Choosing a Swimsuit for a Beauty Pageant
Hello, I am Erica Saylors and this is my assistant model, Ashley Charlton. Today, I am here to talk about how to choose a bathing suit for fitness competition in a pageant. When choosing your swimsuit, make sure it is flattering to your figure. In other words, if you have a long torso it is a good idea to wear a two piece that accentuates your figure. Also, make sure the color of your bathing suit is complimentary to your skin tone. If you are fair, do not choose pastels or colors that are similar or close to your skin tone. Make sure there is a good contrast. Also, it is a good idea to wear high heels or pumps instead of sandals or flatfooted shoes. It is important to wear heels that are three to four inches high and that have backstrap support to prevent accidents from happening. If you wear sandals, it is very easy to fall or trip while modeling on stage. Make sure you have good support when you are wearing your swimsuit for the bust and the bottom. It needs to be firm and tight so that nothing might shake loose. Also, for the bottom part, it is a good idea to wear adhesive spray underneath so that the swimsuit does not ride up while modeling on stage.
