Choosing Sportswear for a Beauty Pageant
Hello, I'm Erica Saylors and this is my assitant model, Ashely Charlton. Today, I am here to talk about how to choose an outfit for sportwear competition in a pageant. First of all, when choosing your sportwear outfit, make sure you wear something that is flattering to your figure as Ashley did. Also, choose a color that compliments your skintone and your haircolor. Notice her reddish hair goes very well with the brown color she chose. For this particular outfit, Ashley chose a cropped jacket with sparkles at the top, a velvet type shirt, where you can actually take the jacket off if you option too. She also choose to wear sparkles or sequence on her skirt and sparkles on her heels as well. It was a good idea that she choose heels, so that when she walks, she will stand straighter and have better posture. Different people have different styles. Some may choose shorts. Some may choose pants, capris, or skirts. It depends on your style. Just choose something you are comfortable with. And make sure whatever happens you are confident and that the judges know you feel good about yourself. That is what is important in the sportswear competition. Another thing you need to remember when choosing a sportswear competition outfit is, it is a good idea to choose something tasteful and not inappopriate. Notice that Ashley chose something that does not reveal too much cleavage. And she did not choose an extremely short skirt. It is conservative yet fashionable. That is very important when choosing an outfit that the judges will be seeing you in, as it is to present yourself tastefully. And that is how you should choose an outfit for a sportwear competition in a pageant.
