On behalf of expertvillage.com, this is Mark Coy. We are talking about our kiln and the different things that you might need for your kiln. One of the things that comes in handy are posts. We put the posts in the kiln and we set shelves on and build up the inside of our kiln so that the deep body of this, we can actually have several shelves in here and they are made out of hard ceramic that we can load a lot of ceramics. The fuller your kiln, the more efficient the firing because it holds the heat a lot better. We are also have as part of our kiln furniture, footies. We have several different kinds of these. Some have many little wire points to be able to if it is uneven bottoms or small thin shapes, then it allows you to keep your glazed ware from sticking to your kiln shelf. We also use what is kiln wash to paint our shelves in the different parts of our furniture so that glazes don't stick to and fire to our kiln furniture and pieces of our kiln.
