Making Tea with a Cup & Spoon

Hi we're talking about tea today and now I'm going to talk about how to make tea with just this bowl and spoon here and this is often the way tea is made in the mountains by farmers in Taiwan and this is also a good way to make tea when you are deciding which tea you want to buy. So we've heated this cup here already and now I am going to measure out about four to five grams of tea like so and I'm just going to put that into the bowl right like that and I'm just going to add hot water and then the great thing about this brew method is that it will steep for say we can watch the leaves and as they open then we can start serving the tea as soon as the leaves start to open. Then you can drink the tea so you can serve a spoon out like this into a cup and then you drink that and then the tea continues to brew in the cup so you can taste the tea at three minutes, four minutes, five minutes and then again at ten minutes. So at ten minutes you'll have a very strong tea but the good thing about that is all the good and all the bad has come out into the tea so you know exactly what you're dealing with at that point so those are some of the reason to brew tea in this bowl and cup method like so.
