Hi I'm Linda Leon with expertvillage.com. We have been talking about power cooking and learning all type of wonderful recipes that you can make off of a simple base. You'll take this base and you just build on it to make additional recipes. I would encourage you to watch previous segments. Now we are going to make an orange chicken. So we got our base again, which you could use to season any type of meat or meat alternative—you would use those. Then to that, to make this Asian, we are going to add ground ginger, we are also going to add some crushed red peppers, in addition we are going to add to that about a forth a cup of Teriyaki sauce. We need to add one more ingredient, and what we are going to add is orange juice concentrate, and with these simple ingredients you would have a very restaurant-style meal. And I talked about before you can use chicken to do this, and this is just boiled chicken with seasonings in it, and this is what we used in our last program. But what we are going to do today is use an alternative version. So lets go ahead and heat our skillet. We are going to start with our oil. A few peppers I'm adding to the pan, and we are going to add to that some celery and then a few onions. Now for this particular stir fry, after that we are going to use chicken strips—just toss a few of those to the pan and they would be heated up at no time. These are great meal starters. Absolutely meal starters; and you'll notice how quickly it is cooking: this would be out of our kitchen in less then 15 minutes guys. We are going to add about a teaspoon of fresh red peppers, we are also going to add a little ginger. Ginger is very aromatic, it makes your kitchen smell wonderful. We are going to pour in our Teriyaki sauce. Now for this one we are actually going to use the fresh garlic because we want the flavors stronger then just the powder. Even stronger still, you would use a fresh garlic clove that we would simply would chop up, and once you get this done, then the punchline is going to be able to add your orange juice concentrate. So we are going to add about a third of a cup of orange juice concentrate to this mix. Maybe just a little bit more. Stir that down and guys we got an excellent, excellent Asian type dish made right at home with restaurant appeal. I'm Linda Leon with expertvillage.com.
