Tools for Fixing a Flat Tire

Next I am going to explain the tools that we use and the process of changing the tire and repairing the tire if anything was to puncture the tire. The first tool that we have is the tool that we use to loosen the wheels up. This is a four-way lug wrench. Now what this does is has four different sized sockets on it depending on what application you are using to remove the lug nuts from the wheel. So you have your four different sizes right here. Then if you have the locking type nuts this is the sort of tool that you would use. They come in different fashions, like this is one and or course there is a hex-head. Some of them actually do fit over the application itself. This is your regular stock car jack. These are made in different fashions. This one is made exceptionally to this sort of car, so you may have some that have a pole with a jacking piece and a foot to hold it in place. Also, of course you have the floor jack. This is for home repairs and if you work around the garage then this makes it a lot simpler than using the conventional jack. As far as repairing the tire, you have things like this is a core tool for the valve stem itself if you needed to replace this, you can put it on, and pull the valve stem out if you needed to. If the time was off of the rim, then you need to install new valve cores inside there with this. So it is kind of a multi-functioning tool. The other things that I have here is if you have a puncture in your tire you can simply repair it with tire plugs, which are these rubbery inserts. You just take this tool, the reamer, and remove the object with a pair of pliers or if you can easily access what it is that has punctured the tire you take this and insert it into the tire, then kind of ream the hole out so that you can install the plug into the tire. Now what you do with this other tool right here is where you actually take the plugs and put them into this to insert them into the tire where the puncture has been placed. Sometimes you may need to lube up your hand, but it should stick through. This tool is just to insure you get the plug placed in properly. That concludes the tools that you need to remove and repair your tire.
