Experimental Photography: Liquid Light

What I am holding in my hand is an image called liquid light or liquid emulsion image. And it's a pretty interesting process in that what you see paint on this water color page is actually emulsion that I heated up in the dark room with the right light on. With a brush, I painted this emulsion on to this Arches water color paper and I let it dry. Let it get very dry. Can't really print with it wet. Again, back to the early episodes, you have to let this stuff dry. Hit with the hair dryer a little bit and it drys out. I used, I printed this image just like I would an normal RC image or a fiber based paper image. This is a wedding image. They want it for an invitation. And they wanted, again, more of a fine art. I got to get a different look. And this is one of the test prints for their invitation. This is a great way, you can really get a great fine art look to it. The final image they used actually had their wedding date, some writing that both of them had actually did on the actual water color paper. That's what they used. Again, this liquid light can be put on water color paper, tile, I seen it even put on glass and on copper. Its beautiful but kind of a hard medium to work with.
