Double Stops on Country Guitar
This is Josh Z and I am with a band called The Mother Truckers and let's go over a couple more double stops that can get you between the 1 chord and the 4 chord. So if we are in the key of C and we go to our F, which is our 4 chord, so over the 1 chord I am taking my C pentatonic scale and dividing the major 3rd. So in a sense I am always just affecting this sort of major chord, C major. So I go. When I go to the 4, I just simply move my pinkie. So if you are on the 4 chord, back to the 1, it could be. It might be better with a treble pickup and the challenge with those is to make the notes bending true otherwise it won't sound like the chord. Mine aren't exactly perfect. For that 4 chord, you have to get all the way up to here which is just an F major. Then for the C chord, you still have to do the same bend and then you are outlining the 3rd so you are creating that C major chord; C major, F major.
