I've been playing more than 30 years now, Lazy by Deep Purple note for note ect. Country I could not get until your introductory lesson, thanks brother you just brought me another 30 years of practicing. Well taught.

Chet Atkins Style on Country Guitar
Hey! This is Josh C from The Mother Truckers. I am going to go over some of the basic what I call Chet Atkins style picking which some people use their peoples. A lot of the rock and roll and country guys use the pick and also their other fingers. The basic idea is you get a base line going with the pick which in this case I am doing this on an E chord octave and then I add the decorative notes. See that always keeps going. Here's that same picking style sort of slowed down. Basically the melody notes are, I'll throw in a little at the end just for some flare and the base line is going. So you put them together. I'll try a slowed down version.
