Hi this is Leslie Sack with expertvillage.com. My website is lesliesack.com, and the dance is merengue. This is my dance partner, Jorge Saucedo, and we are going to show you the ladies' right left turn, as well as the man's left turn. Okay, how you do it with a partner, slowly. So we are starting with the basic, so we got 1,2,1,2,1,2. At any point, the guy is going to raise his left arm up, that's the first part. Then he's going to give a little nudge with the right arm. And ladies, you're always going to keep your elbow in front of you so you don't hit the guy. You are just walking forward. so that is the ladies' right turn. Okay, you could just do that by itself. And notice my left hand's up, and then it's right there for when I come back. You usually want to combine the ladies' right turn with the left turn, so I'm going to go to the right first, and then I'm going to turn left. As I turn left, I'm just walking forward with my elbow in front of me, and he is going to trace my halo three times, and then we are going to come back to dance position. Okay. If we wanted to, we could add the guys' turn, he could go under, and then he could turn me out again, three times 2,3. So ladies you can move quickly or you can move slowly on these turns.
