How to Buy Clothes for a Mommy Makeover

Hi! I’m Jamie Yasko-Mangum with Successful Style and Image, today on Expert Village we’re going to talk about the age appropriateness of clothing. That is so important to be age appropriate but I know for moms or any women of that sort age appropriate sometimes is hard to find because clothes just don’t fit I completely understand that and a lot of times designers leave out certain age groups, I understand that too. However when you’re looking for age appropriate clothing here’s a way to think about it, if you have a daughter that is a teenager shopping in her stores are not age appropriate for you, if you are graduating from college and you already graduated you’ve just gotten married and two years down the line you have a child you’re now a mom, the clothes that you had in college are not age appropriate because remember college was more of a little frumpier kind of dress you could wear sweats you could just roll out of bed and go to school, not age appropriate you need to put some style in your clothes. If you are somebody that is a mature woman that is in their 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s cleared up to the 100’s don’t date yourself, don’t wear the big huge plaids, the real campy type of shirts, don’t date yourself with always wearing sweats, guess what? You can be a fiery grandmother you can look just absolutely great so don’t date yourself, you know what it’s okay to still have your sex appeal even when you’re mature and older, so no matter what age group you’re in remember age appropriate, age appropriate the neckline is being too low showing your cleavage that’s not age appropriate, wearing shorts that are way too short, wearing hip huggers that show things that should not be shown that’s not age appropriate also, wearing cuts and designs that are too small or too young for you that’s not age appropriate also, walk in stores that do have age appropriate clothing, thank you.
