Tips for Pizza Peel
Hi my name is Greg Goldberg on behalf of Expert Village you can reach us at www.minettis.com. In this segment we are going to talk about pizza peals, the different in pizza peals, and rotation your pizza while it is in the oven. There is a couple of key things we made the pizza on the wooden peal we do that cause the flour stick in the grain of the wood and it helps keep it well floured and the pizza would slide right off it. Now if you are going to rotate that pizza in your oven of course the easy way to do might be just to rotate the stone. However if you have a metal peal you can use this very very easily to slide right under the pizza, flip around or take it out of the oven and call it a day. That is our alarm for the pizza in the oven. So why don't we rotate it. As the pizza cooks it is actually going to stick to the bottom so what we need to do is just gently slide under there and loosen it up. As you can see the topping and the cheese is already starting to cook and melt down. The important thing is the bottom and you see it is just starting to get brown but it is really not cooked yet. Once we slide under we are going to make a 90 degree turn and we are just going to shake it off the peal. So it is up at a angle and remove close the oven set the timer for another two to three minutes. Check again if necessary keep rotating.
