Shomenuchi Koshinage: Advanced Aikido

This is a cool technique that you get into from a shomenuchi strike. So as my partner comes with his...let's do his, with his left hand...as he comes up with this, I just basically do the same motion that I would do to get into shomenuchi ikkyo. Slowly, as it comes up. From here, I have to, sometimes I'll grab his gi like this, or just grab his arm, and you have to take a very, very deep step with this to load him up onto the hips, just like this. If you can get the arms extended, that's exactly how you want to do this technique. One more time, extend your arms, Gary. Keep the arms extended as you enter in to cut through, here. It's important that you turn uke's body here. That's what you want. Do that again.
