Ryote Munedori Koshinage Tenkan: Advanced Aikido

Alright, now some of my favorite techniques. These are the techniques that I like to use in motion. I do these from Ryote Munedori. It could be a chest push, it could be a chest grab, it could be anything like that. One hand, two hands...we're going to use two hands. As he comes to push, boom, I don't want to be here. I do my ukenagashi tenkan here. He's going to recalibrate and come right back around to attack me again, that's just what an attacker will do. He's not going to stop because he thinks I turned really well. From here, on my arm is going to come up underneath his, and I'm going to step in and load him up on my hips. Slowly, I'll show you the load on the hips, like this, just like that. In motion. Other side, and one more time you'll see the nice, fluid motion from here. By the time Uke is turned back around, I've already entered in and shut the door on him. Now, brings up a point. If you don't want to drop your Uke from this high, you could be nice to them, I'm not ever nice to my students. From here, step in, load him up and just help him down to the ground. Even if you do it fast you can help him down to the ground, just like that.
