Moxa Acupuncture Herbs

Then we talk about another treatment in modality, called Moxa. Moxa is made of herb called magwort. And it looks like this. This is traditional Moxa, it creates smoke and it smells very strong. Some people don't like it but it relieves the pain. So, when we use Moxa in certain, unto certain area, it help the circulation to reduce the pain. So the magnetism is not only use the heat the Moxa create, but also, certain ingredients can penetrate the capillaries and helps body reduce certain chemicals or improve the circulation. So when we use the Moxa, we light it like this, and there's a smoke come out, this is called smoke Moxa, it's the traditional Moxa. And we can use, for instance, this person has wristal pain and it caused by tendonitis. And the pain located here, so I can apply Moxa like this, and the heat will accumulated on the local area. Then, the smoke will be directed unto the painful area. I apply this for fifteen minutes each day or the patient can do itself. And that helps the blood circulation and reduce inflammation. It's a very effective treatment if you don't mind the smoke.
