On behalf of expertvillage.com, my name is Raymond Temeyer with Lost Island Voyages, and we also have with us Valerie Kevorkian from Tarpoon Lagoon Dive Center in Miami Beach. We’re going to talk about snorkeling today and all the opportunities that it provides. With the help from a professional from your local dive shop, finding the proper fitting mask can be quite easy. You’ll notice that when Ben tries the masks on, there different types of masks that he choose from. One has a lens that is completely open and there are no obstructions. This mask has a split down the middle, so it allows you to put in optical lenses should you need to wear glasses while you’re snorkeling. Another type of a mask is the black silicone mask versus the clear silicone mask; some people quite prefer that. You’ll notice that these lenses on the masks are colored. A lot of spear fisherman like that because it helps them see color under water, which sometimes color is not able to be seen under water.
THANKS!
