Dome Skirt Designs

One of my favorite styles right now, is this one that I show you here, a dome skirt. I love the way the silhouette flares out in the middle of the skirt, and then jets back in. For some reason, I think it's just the cutest thing in the world, but not everybody you're designing for, is going to be able to pull off this look, because it does add extra volume, hence, extra mass through the body. It's not skintight, and it's going to look like you have a caricature of hips, but it's really cute when done correctly, so this is a dome skirt. We'll do a natural waist line, and I want this to fall right above the knees, so I make my hemline, and then what makes it a dome skirt, is the fact that it, I was going to say domes out, but it doesn't make sense. It goes out. It flares out, and then back in, creating the dome look, so you could have it be huge, or you can have it like his. I prefer just a little bit, so do this, and then in order to show better that it is a dome skirt, I added these seam lines, because they parallel the curvature of the dome, and just makes it more apparent for you, makes the point come across better.
