When I designed this skirt for a collection, I was at a loss as to what to call it. I'm calling it a Jodhpur-esque skirt. Because it kind of, mimics the Jodhpur style of pant that flares out. This was designed for a collection that was inspired by the movie, 'The Night Quarter'. It's a very militaristic look. Hence the bobby hat and the cape. But I didn't know what to call the skirt, so if you ever want to use this style. Just know that it's mine. And I'll show you how to draw it. We're going to have the waist line, it's a little bit higher than the natural waist. And where we have these Jodhpur inspired divots. We do that right around the knee level. Right above the knees, like actually at the same level as a pair of Jodhpurs, would be. So we dip in. And then, I have a flared hem which is lower in the back than in the front. And I did a center seam line, to give it a design detail.
