Make a Jeans Handbag: Installing Zipper

Okay, to install the zipper, we need to first baste the top section together. I just threw a few pins in there. You want to set your, for basting, you want to set your stitch length to the longest stitch length. And just using a normal seam allowance, a a five eighths seam allowance, just baste right across the top. You want to baste because this stitching is going to be removed once we install our zipper. And then take it to the ironing board, and press the seam open. So open up the fabric like this, and press the seam open, like this. You can install your zipper, and if you need guidance on installing zippers, you can look for my series on zipper installation.
