Improv: Character Offer Demo

We're talking about yes, and; on making offers, accepting offers and building on those offers with something connected. And we're talking about all different kinds of offers. Right now I want focus on character. Character is a kind of offer, letting the audience know who you are and letting your fellow players know who you are. So Shannon in the moment is going to make a character offer. He's going to start a scene as a character. And I'm going to try and guess and that character offer. So let's take a look. "here, I've got this.." "Perfect, the brain; the monsters ready." Ok, scene.. good. So a wonderful strong character with his body and his voice and his emotion and his sounds, he also created that character. And inspired me to accept that. I felt like I needed to create a character that would be in the same world as that character. That's one way I guess and it. I also accepted that physical offer of whatever he had in his hand. I defined it as a brain and justified why we need it for the monster. So as a great inspirational point to get start from, and characters are special because you have to bring them on stage with you. It's not something you can discover while you're out there. So its a great thing to bring on to the scene when you begin, a character offer. And we got to see a little bit about character offers in this character offer demonstration.
