Fashion Design for City Shorts with Suspender

Here I have another part of city shorts that I added suspenders to. These are actually I designed these to be little bit higher waisted. They have almost a sailor inspired look. With the button placket right here and they're still not that high waisted. They're still at right below the belly button line where when you're drawing for mass and volume on the crokey it is going to be a smile because it is below the waist. So they are higher up. They will have a higher rise than normal city shorts because of that added piece but they're still not high, high waisted and I have these as having suspenders. Suspenders very easy to draw but add a whole lot of, they're a simple little addition to whatever you're drawing but they do add a little extra something. Sometimes it's an extra something that's wrong or too much but suspenders are totally easy to draw. Obviously they go from the shoulders down to whatever point you have them going to and then you want to show that they clamp on. They're not attached. So you want to show that there's some sort of closure thing. Usually what I do, I'll draw it bigger. Usually what I do at that point is I make some sort of triangular or reference like that where it looks like, where you can be sure that you can tell that it is clipping on to the pants and they're not attached.
