GPS Safety Tips

Ok, I have, this is from a personal experience. Some people would say well, a GPS is distracting, they, they, shouldn't have them or what have you. However, they, they actually are a safety device and if you heed the warning and don't try to entertain yourself with it or make all these adjustments with it, while you're moving, they are, they?re a very, well, lifesaving type tool. I was out, it was, this is my personal experience. I was traveling down a road, which I was fairly familiar with the road, however, it goes straight for approximately ten miles, this particular road, not, not a bend in it, and it was foggy. I could not see one car length ahead of me, I, I was not traveling fast because of that. I was being very cautious, however; I glanced down at my GPS and I seen, I was coming to an intersection, I had, could not see it for anything, but I hit the brakes and when I hit the brakes, I stopped with about two feet of my nose of my vehicle being out in that intersection. I would have blown that four way stop, because I had no way to see it. However, it's very easy to see an intersection coming up on your GPS, it's very well marked and by seeing that, I was able to, to stop my vehicle. I mean, I, I hit the brakes right then and come an immediate stop and it's a good thing that I did, cause I would have blown that. I don't think there was a vehicle coming, but here again; there was no way for me to know that intersection was there. Sure, I knew at some point that crossing was going to be there, but it snuck up on me so, it's, it's just a wonderful tool, I can't say enough great things about it. And, you would, you would enjoy once you're used to it. At first they can appear to be a little intimidating but, sit back, relax, get familiar with it, you'll never look at another map, I promise you that.
