O.k. setting up your GPS is a, there's just not a lot to it. I have this one permanently mounted in my vehicle, it also comes with a bean bag mount which would sit on your dash, it rides up there pretty well, but that's for temporary if you want to jump from one vehicle, to another, to another, it works out great. I know I recently traveled to Dallas, Texas, never been there before and to take the GPS with me, put it in the rental car, the particular rental car that I got, did not have one. What a life saver! I mean just really a joy, because with this you can find places to eat, places of interest or whatever. But, however we're talking about setting up. So, we come to the screen and we have settings, we hit settings, so there's no need for an outside antenna on this. If you were to have like a motor home or a big vehicle where the unit did not have a clear view of the sky, you then would put an additional external antenna on that, to lead so that it would have a view of the sky. So, we come in here to, go to general GPS, use indoor/outdoors, it's also made so you can take it inside your hotel room if you want, and you could pre-program a particular route, if you wanted to do that. I normally don't do that myself. But, then you could get into the language if you wanted the voice to speak, this one has voice, English language, you can go British, Australian, there's all kinds of different ones that you can go through there, as far as that. Same with the text, you can pick out what type of language you want it to be in. In the speech rate, you can set that. I just kind of left that to normal.
