In this clip we're going to talk about the proper way to diagnose, remove and replace a faulty windshield wiper motor. In this step, we're going to talk about the proper service procedure for reinstalling our intake vent cover plate. I'm just going to take and slide it right on where it goes, making sure to line up our wiper pivot and all of the little screw holes involved in mounting it. Once you have everything lined up, you're going to go ahead and take and start installing your mounting screws. You'll notice, I'll give you an example here that I have two different types of screws. If you run across this, of course the screws with the small shoulder washer are going to go in the small locations. And, the screws with the large shoulder washers are going to go in the large locations. Just like so. I'm going to take my Phillips and screw these guys down. They don't have to be extremely tight. You are screwing into plastic and sandwiching plastic between them. So, make sure not to over tighten and damage the components. Ok. Then, there goes my last screw. From there, I'm going to go ahead and take and reinstall my wiper arms. Going to take and rotate them up and slide them down into position. And, not fully seat them yet. What I'm going to do is line them up with where they need to be on the windshield first, just like so. Right there, is where you're going to want to align it at. You're going to go ahead and rotate it back up and slip it into position. From there, you're going to take and install the mounting nut. We're going to go ahead and move on to the next one using the same procedure. You're going to look for the mark where the wiper blade ended travel at. Which is right here. We're going to line it up and make sure we hit that spot and rotate it back up into position. Once we have it back into position. Alright. You're going to want to take and hold onto your wiper arm to make sure it doesn't rotate on you while you tighten it down. Use a thirteen millimeter socket and a three-eighths drive ratchet and go ahead and tighten the bolt down. Right there. We're going to set this one down into place and verify it's where you want it. We're going to go ahead and tighten this one down. And, let's set this guy down. Verify its right where you want it. And, install the cover plug right there. Once you have the cover plug installed on the wiper arm, you can take and put all your decorative pieces over the components that you had to expose. Right like that. And, that is the proper method for installing your intake grate and wiper arms.
