In this clip, were going to talk about the proper way to diagnose, remove, and replace a faulty windshield wiper motor. In this step, were going to talk about reconnecting of our wiper motor transmission to the ball stud. Now I've take and wiped all the old grease off the ball stud from my salvage yard wiper motor. What I'm going to do is take and then apply some new grease to that ball stud. Take and just pump some out on my finger here and wipe it around. It doesn't take a whole bunch. The stud is made of a stainless steel and doesn't corrode much. As long as it's lubricated it'll do alright. Once you have it lubricated, you're going to take and line up your wiper transmission. You're going to slip the rubber grommet on and squeeze it into place. That's the proper way to grease your ball stud and install your wiper motor transmission arm.
